Back by popular demand! We will be conducting another walking tour around the Leitchfield Public Square on Sunday, May 19th at 2:00 pm. Rain date is Sunday, June 2nd at the same time.

We love the walking tours as we always learn something new as we make our way around the Square.

Be sure to join us and we talk about the Sisk Girls, how the "Big 7" got its name, the three courthouse fires (starting with the Confederates in 1864), Irish Row, the Alice Palace, the many uses of the old Opera House, Abraham Lincoln's Grayson County cousin Old Mord the "Woman Hater," and more!

We are headin’ to the Holler. Hoodoo Holler that is!

Make plans to join us at Pine Knob for our next General Meeting on Tuesday, June 11th at 6:00 pm as we tour the area that was once the stomping grounds of Grayson County’s most infamous outlaw Dock Brown.

You won’t want to miss it!

We will also have a check presentation with the winner of this year’s Ken and Nancy Robinson Scholarship and local officials will sign our annual Grayson County History Week proclamation.

Special thanks to Honus Shain for the use of his property for the meeting.

Make plans to join us during the Fiddlin’ Fest on Saturday, July 20th!

As you are listening to the music on the Public Square, walk on down to the Jack Thomas House and visit with us!
We will be conducting free tours of the House and of the Buchanan Log Cabin in the back yard again this year.

We are still ironing out the exact time, but will announce the open house hours soon.

So mark your calendars for July 20th and we hope to see you there!
